When considering shutters for your home, an important attribute is determining the correct louver size for your window's depth. The louver size will determine the amount of visibility you will receive with the shutters.
There are three different louver sizes to choose from:
2 1/2" 3 1/2" 4 1/2"
The louver size will greatly depend on the size and depth of your window's trim. As seen above, the 4 1/2" louvers provide a larger opening between louvers, and therefore a less obstructed view. These have been popular in newer homes as the window trim is usually deeper than older homes.
